SOP of Cleaning of Dehumidifier

Purpose: To lay down operating procedure for cleaning of Dehumidifier.

Scope: This procedure is applicable to ..................

Responsibility: Production Chemist

                           To supervise the activity

Frequency: At the completion of batch or at and of the shift.

Cleaning procedure at product change over:

1. Be sure to switch off the main power before cleaning the dehumidifier

2. Remove all the water accumulated in side the storage devise and also residue of previous product adhered on it and on the surface.

3. Clean M/c drill with nylon hairbrush so that all material will be removed.

4. Apply Vacuum for two to three minutes on the dehumidifier M/c to remove all the powder etc or any other residue form crevices of the dehumidifier machine.

5. Open the side covers and front panel vents side and cleans the inside surface.

6. Clean the radiator type heat dispensers with a hard blow of air jet so that no residue of previous product dust will be there and then discard all water accumulated from inside storage device.

7. Clean the dehumidifier M/c with dry and clean cloth. Clean also fan plates and side plates. Ensure the Rh control is there for 30% on the inside front panel.

8. Mop the body with clean and wet cloth. Also mop the surrounding area of the dehumidifier. Allow it to dry.

Cleaning: procedure at the end of shift:

1. Be sure to switch off the main power before cleaning the dehumidifier

2. Remove all the water accumulated in side the storage devise and also

residue of previous product adhered on it and on the surface.

3. Wipe the outer surface of dehumidifier with a damp towel.

4. Vacuum the filter on the dusty side to remove the dust.
