Cleaning of Autocoater


Purpose - To lay down operating procedure for the cleaning of Autocoater.

Scope :-       This procedure is applicable

Responsibility:    Production Chemist

To supervise the activity

Pre-operating Check: Check no material or residue should be there.

Frequency: -     Complete wet cleaning for different product each time after use and Dry cleaning at the end of the shift and for the same product.

Equipment used:   Autocoater (150 kg) Wet cleaning procedure: -:

a) Coating pan:

1.     Drag out the spray bar by turning the OPEN/CLOSE knob on control panel towards OPEN side.

2.     Start the main switch knob of control panel.

3.     Press K6 to open the Drain valve.

4.     Press F3 to rotate the pan.

5.     Press pan light (LGT) & spray the water inside the pan.

6.     Clean thoroughly the interior body especially baffles to remove

the residues first with portable water then with labollene solution in purified water and finally 

with DM water .

7.     Allow the pan to dry at 100°cby setting the temperature as: Press O → Press R → 

Password(100)→ Enter

b) Silicon tubes:

1.    Remove the silicon pipes from the s.s. tank & keep in a bucket filled with water.

2.   Wrap a plastic bag on the front of the spray nozzles & start the peristaltic pump.

3.    Flush the tubes first with water & then with 2 - 5 litre of isopropyl Alcohol for 5 to 10  minutes.

c) Spray Nozzles:

1.   Remove the nozzles & clean thoroughly with purified water.
2.   Wipe with a clean dry cloth.

d) S.S. Tank with stirrer:

1.   Remove the nozzles & flush with portable water and then finally wash with Purified water.
2.   Turn the drain valve to ON position.
3.   Wipe with a dry clean cloth.
e) Peristaltic pump: Clean externally with a wet cloth & finally with a dry cloth
f)     Clean the outer side of autocoater with dry and clean cloth
h)     Mention the entire activities in Daily Log Sheet.

Dry cleaning procedure: -

1.    Remove previous product residue of from inner and surrounding area of autocoater. Clean the 
inner, outer and surrounding area of autocoater.
