Measuring of Temperature And Relative Humidity standard Operating Procedure in production department of Pharmaceuticals Industry.

Proper reading of thermometer & thermo hygrometer
SCOPE
This procedure applies for measuring of temperature & relative humidity using the thermometer & thermo hygrometer.

PROCEDURE
MEASUREMENT OF TEMPERATURE:
- Stand up before the thermometer which is placed on the walls.
- Read the position of Mercury on the thermometer.
- This is the actual temperature of that area.
- Record & document the temperature reading appropriately.
MEASUREMENT OF RELATIVE HUMIDITY:
- Stand up before the thermo hygrometer.
- Read the Mercury position in Wet & Dry Column of thermo hygrometer.
- Calculate the difference of wet & dry column of thermo hygrometer.
- Check the relative humidity from the given chart by reading the dry column position at recorded difference. This is the relative humidity of that area,
- Record & document it appropriately.
