SOP for Operation of Autocoater

Purpose: To lay down operating procedure for the operation of Autocoater.

Scope: This procedure is applicable for ..................

Responsibility: Production Chemist

                            To supervise the activity

Pre-operating Check: Check no material or residue should be there.

Equipment used: Autocoater (150 kg)

Operation:

1. Connect the silicon pipes to SS tank & the peristaltic pump.

2. Load the tablets into the pan.

3. Set the system operation serially as:

Press F3  DEFGHIJ s

4. Check the flow of automized spray by moving out the spray bar.

5. Start the stirrer.

6. Adjust the hot air & exhaust air pressure by adjusting hot air & Exhaust air damper controller.

7. Adjust the atomizing air & fan air pressure to 2kg/cm² & 3 kg/cm² Respectively.

8. Press spray air key K & peristaltic pump key L.

9. Adjust the RPM of the peristaltic pump as required.

10. Adjust the inlet, outlet & bed temperature & press ENTER.

11. To confirm the temperature setting, Press U once & Prev.SR twice.

12. Check the spray pattern, move the spray bar inside the pan .

13. Start the pan by adjusting the speed-adjusting knob.

14. At the end of the process, switch OFF the spray air, peristaltic Pump, atomizing & fan air knob.

PRECAUTIONS:

1. Before starting the operation, always check the clockwise rotation of the pan.

2. Check the insertion of silicon tubes in the peristaltic pump & check any twisting/folding in the silicon tubes.

3. Check the rotation of pressure roller for peristaltic pump.

4. While moving the spray bar inside the pan, keep the atomizing & Fan air pressure to zero & stop the spray bar key K & peristaltic Pump key L.

5. Do not touch key A 7 b during operation, when the system is in Manual.

6. Observe the alarm during the process & take the necessary action.
