Cleaning of Strip Pack Machine

Purpose: To lay down operating procedure for the Cleaning of Stirp Pack machine.

Scope: This procedure is applicable to .............

Responsibility: Production Chemist

                         To supervise the activity

Pre-operating Check: Check no material or residue of previous product is there.

Frequency: At the completion of batch or at the end of the shift

Equipment used: Gension strip pack machine

Procedure for product change over:

1.   Ensure that the Main Switch is OFF.

2.   Remove Hopper, Bowl and dispensing Chute, Channel guide for Al. foil web and its assembly from the M/c.

3.   Clean all these assemblies with IPA and then with DM water. And ensure that no residue of product is there.

4.   Mop the M/c. and conveyor with dry and clean cloth. Also clean the place where the equipment is to be kept and it’s surrounding.

5.   Clean the Sealing Roller and counter Sealing Roller so that no residue of product lies on it.

6.   Return the remaining quantity of Printed and plain Aluminum Foil to store and record these details in BMR.

Procedure for same product and at the end of shift: -

1.   At the end of shift clean Hopper, Bowl etc. with clean and dry cloth and surrounding area of strip pack machine.
