Cleaning of Defoiling

Purpose: To lay down operating procedure for the Cleaning of Defoiling machine

Scope: This procedure is applicable for .............

Responsibility: Production Chemist

                         To supervise the activity

Pre-operating Check: Check no packing material or residue of previous product should be there. 

Frequency: For different product each time after use or at the end of the shift for the same product. 

Equipment used: Blister-defoiling machine 

                                          Strip defoiling machine

Cleaning procedure:

1. Remove all the defoiling rejects or residue of the previous batch.

2. Start the defoiling m/c in forward and backward direction and clean with nylon hairbrush so that all material will be wipe up from the under hopper, rollers and cutter.

3. Discard all foil cutting wastage or PVC foils and checks thoroughly so that no rejection may lie in the cutting waste.

4. Clean the defoiling m/c with clean and dry cloth. Also clean rejection box and side plates.

5. Mop the s.s plates hopper, body with wet cloth. Also mop the surrounding area of the defoiler. Allow it to dry.
