lay down the calibration procedure of Sieve shaker.
2.0 SCOPE:
This
shall be applicable to the Sieve shaker of Quality Control Instrument Laboratory.

EQUIPMENT:

Sieve shaker.

Sieves.

Sample (granules).
6.0 PROCEDURE:
6.1
Switch ON the
mains.
6.2
Operate the Sieve
shaker according to the SOP.
6.3
Check the time
with calibrated and certified clock at 10min, 20min, 50min and 90min. The
tolerance should be ±1min.
6.4
Record the result
on the “Calibration Record”,
“Calibration Log Book” & paste the “Calibration
Status Sticker” on Sieve shaker.
6.5
Tolerance: ±1.

Frequency:

Monthly and after
every maintenance.
6.7
Precautions:
6.7.1
Sieve can be
cleaned regularly.
6.7.2
Frequent use can
cause changes in mesh openings, much of the damage sustained during cleaning.
Often operator hurries to clear the mesh by strongly tapping the frame.
