1.0 OBJECTIVE:
To
lay down the operating procedure of Refrigerator.
2.0 SCOPE:
This
shall be applicable to the Refrigerator
of Quality Control Instrument Laboratory.
3.0 RESPONSIBILITY:

Technical
Assistant/ Helper.
3.2
Q.C Analyst.
4.0 ACCOUNTABILITY:
4.1
Manager-Quality
Control.
5.0 MATERIAL AND
EQUIPMENT:
5.1
Refrigerator.
5.2
Thermometer.
6.0 PROCEDURE:
6.1
Ensure that the
instrument is clean. Follow the SOP.
6.2
Connect the power
plug to the main power sockets and switch on the power supply.
6.3
Put thermometers
in the refrigerator compartment and freezer.
6.4
Set the thermostat
control knob to ‘NORMAL’ position.
6.5
Load the
refrigerator with the items to be stored between 2oC -6oC.
6.6
In case the
temperature (2oC -6oC for the chamber) is not achieved
increase cooling by setting the thermostat to ‘MAX’ position.
6.7
To take out the
articles, open the door of refrigerator & take out the articles and close
the door again.
6.8
Monitor the
temperature once a day in the format.
6.9
Limit:
6.9.1
Temperature
range of refrigerator: 4oC ± 2oC.
6.9.2
Temperature
range of deep freezer: 3oC ± 2oC.
