5.0 MATERIAL AND
EQUIPMENT:

Glassware (one 100.0ml
beaker, one stirrer, one pipette).
5.2
Magnetic stirrer.
5.3
50.0mg of methyl
red.
5.4
1.86ml of 0.1M
sodium hydroxide.
5.5
50.0ml of alcohol
R.
5.6
Purified water
q.s.
6.0 PROCEDURE:
6.1
Take a beaker of 100.0ml;
add 50.0mg of methyl red in it.
6.2
Add a mixture of
1.86ml of 0.1M sodium hydroxide and 50.0ml of alcohol R.
6.3
Mix it by using magnetic stirrer.
6.4
Dilute it to 100.0ml
with purified water R.
