To
lay down the operating procedure of Electronic Analytical Weighing Balance.
2.0 SCOPE:
This
shall be applicable to the Electronic Analytical Weighing
Balance TE
214S Sartorius of Quality Control Instrument Laboratory.

6.0 PROCEDURE:
6.1
Operation:
6.1.1
Make sure that balance/scale
is already properly set up.
6.1.2
Adjust the level
of balance.
6.1.3
Put the power plug
in the socket and switch it “ON”.
6.1.4
Turn on the
Balance/Scale: Press.
6.1.5
And confirm it is
in “ON” position by observing on displaying screen.

To change
configurations see Annexure-2.

To Tare the
balance/Scale: Press Tare. Screen will show 0.0 g.

Before performing
weighing assures that, balance is calibrated.

Open the door from
one side and place paper on balance/scale.
6.1.10
Close the door and
tare the balances/scale: Press Tare.
6.1.11
Open the door and
place the sample on paper.
6.1.12
Again close the
door and let the screen display stable.
6.1.13
Note the weight
from the displaying screen and remove the sample from the balance/scale with paper.
6.1.14
Close the door
& Press Tare .
6.2
Precautions:
6.2.1
Install the
balance on a vibration free place.
6.2.2
Check all the
circuits before use.
6.2.3
If during or
before weighing power supply fails, then recalibrate the balance.
6.2.4
Do not blow air
into the chamber under any circumstances.
6.2.5
Never press or
touch the weighing pan during weighing.
6.2.6
Always close or
open the balance doors gently.
