To
lay down the procedure for cleaning of tapped density tester.
2.0 SCOPE:
This
shall be applicable to the tapped
density tester of Quality Control Instrument Laboratory.
3.0 RESPONSIBILITY:

Q.C Analyst.
4.0 ACCOUNTABILITY:

Manager-Quality
Control.
5.0 MATERIAL AND
EQUIPMENT:
5.1
Tapped density tester
5.2
Tap water.
6.0 PROCEDURE:
6.1
Switch OFF the
main power and instrument ON/OFF button OFF.
6.2
Remove the powder
or granules (sample) from the cylinders, take the waste out.
6.3
Wash the cylinders
with water, and make sure they are completely free of powder.
6.4
Set the wet
cylinders by the sink to dry.
6.5
Clean the
cylinders with tissue paper.
6.6
Clean the
apparatus with cotton cloth.
6.7
Affix the “CLEANED” label and fill the “Cleaning Equipment Log Book”.
6.8
Frequency:
6.8.1
Clean regularly
after every use.
