1.0 OBJECTIVE:
To
lay down the procedure for cleaning of Centrifuge machine.
2.0 SCOPE:
This
SOP shall be applicable to clean the Centrifuge machine installed in Quality Control Instrument Lab.
3.0 RESPONSIBILITY:

Helper.

Q.C Analyst.
4.0 ACCOUNTABILITY:
4.1
Manager-Quality
Control.
5.0 MATERIAL AND
EQUIPMENT:
5.1
Centrifuge machine (FVL-2400N).
5.2
Dry cotton cloth.
6.0 PROCEDURE:
6.1
Switch “OFF” the
instrument.
6.2
Switch “OFF” the
mains.
6.3
Clean the outer
surface of the instrument with dry cotton cloth.
6.4
Clean the
centrifuge machine disc with cotton cloth.
6.5
Standard ethanol
(75%) or any other cleaning liquids can be used for cleaning and disinfecting
of the device, if it does not contain any strong organic solvents (such as
acetone, toluene, benzene).
6.6
After completion
of each analysis, wash the centrifuge tube as per glassware cleaning S.O.P No. BM/QCEC/SOP044-00.
6.7
After completion affix
the “CLEANED” label and fill the “Cleaning Equipment Log Book”.
