6.0 PROCEDURE:
6.1
Firstly weigh 0.1g
of bromothymol blue, 0.01g of sodium hydroxide by using analytical weighing
balance according to SOP.
6.2
Prepare 0.05M of sodium
hydroxide approximately 5.0ml. Take a beaker of 20.0ml add 5.0ml of purified
water in it and 0.01g of sodium hydroxide. Dissolve it completely.
6.3
Now take a beaker
of 500.0ml and warm 0.1g of bromothymol blue with 3.2ml of 0.05M sodium
hydroxide and 5.0ml of alcohol (90% v/v) by using water bath.
6.4
After solution is
affected, dilute it to 250.0ml with alcohol (90% v/v).
