lay down the procedure of Bromophenol
blue solution for Laboratory use.

shall be applicable to the Quality Control Laboratory.

5.0 MATERIAL AND
EQUIPMENT:
5.1
Glassware (100.0ml
beaker, stirrer, 10.0ml pipette).
5.2
Analytical
weighing balance.
5.3
0.1g of
bromophenol blue.
5.4
1.5ml of 0.1M
sodium hydroxide.
5.5
20.0ml of alcohol
(ethanol).
5.6
Purified water
(q.s).
6.0 PROCEDURE:
6.1
Firstly weigh 0.1g
of bromophenol blue, 0.028g of sodium hydroxide by using analytical weighing
balance according to SOP.
6.2
Prepare 0.1M of
sodium hydroxide solution (prepare 5.0ml according to need).
Take
a beaker of 50.0ml and add 0.028g of sodium hydroxide in it and dissolve it in
5.0ml of purified water to make 0.1M of sodium hydroxide solution.
6.3
Take a beaker of
100.0ml and add 0.1g of bromophenol blue in it.
6.4
Also add 1.5ml of
0.1M sodium hydroxide and 20.0ml of alcohol by using pipette.
6.5
Dissolve it
thoroughly.
6.6
And dilute it to
100.0ml of purified water.
