Title: Standard operating procedure of Bromocresol green-methyl red solution preparation for laboratory use.

1.0  OBJECTIVE:

To lay down the procedure of Bromocresol green-methyl red solution for Laboratory use.
2.0  SCOPE:
This shall be applicable to the Quality Control Laboratory.
3.0  RESPONSIBILITY:
3.1  Q.C Analyst.
4.0  ACCOUNTABILITY:
4.1  Manager-Quality Control.
4.2  Head of the Q.C Department.
5.0  MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT:
5.1  Glassware (100.0ml beaker, stirrer).
5.2  Analytical weighing balance.
5.3  Magnetic stirrer.
5.4  0.1g of methyl red.
5.5  180.0ml of ethanol.
5.6  Purified water (q.s).
6.0  PROCEDURE:
6.1  Firstly weigh 0.15g of bromocresol green & 0.1g of methyl red by using analytical weighing balance according to SOP.
6.2  Take a beaker of 100.0ml and add 0.15g of bromocresol green and 0.1g of methyl red in it.
6.3  Add also 180.0ml of ethanol in it and dissolve.
6.4  Dilute it to 200.0ml of purified water.
