To
lay down the procedure of Ammonium
molybdate solution R5 for Laboratory use.
2.0 SCOPE:
This
shall be applicable to the Quality Control Laboratory.

5.0 MATERIAL AND
EQUIPMENT:
5.1
Glassware (one 50.0ml
beaker, one stirrer, one 10.0ml pipette).
5.2
Analytical
weighing balance.
5.3
1.0g of ammonium molybdate.
5.4
40.0ml of 15% v/v
solution of sulphuric acid (i.e. 15g/100ml)
6.0 PROCEDURE:
6.1
Firstly weigh 1.0g
of ammonium molybdate by using analytical weighing balance operate according to
SOP.
6.2
Prepare 15% v/v
solution of sulphuric acid.
6.3
Take a beaker of 50.0ml
and add 1.0g of ammonium molybdate in it.
6.4
Take 40.0ml of the
prepare solution of 15% v/v of sulphuric acid.
6.5
Dissolve it completely
by using stirrer.
6.6
Prepare the
solution daily.
