Title:Standard operating procedure of Ammonium molybdate solution R3 preparation for laboratory use.
1.0  OBJECTIVE:
To lay down the procedure of Ammonium molybdate solution R3 for Laboratory use.
2.0  SCOPE:
This shall be applicable to the Quality Control Laboratory.
3.0  RESPONSIBILITY:
3.1  Q.C Analyst.
4.0  ACCOUNTABILITY:
4.1  Manager-Quality Control.
4.2  Head of the Q.C Department.
5.0  MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT:
5.1  Glassware (50.0ml, 100.0ml &500.0ml beakers, one stirrer, one 10.0ml pipette).
5.2  Analytical weighing balance.
5.3  Magnetic stirrer.
5.4  5.0g of ammonium molybdate.
5.5  150.0ml of alcohol.
5.6  100.0ml of sulphuric acid.
5.7  Purified water (q.s).
6.0  PROCEDURE:
6.1  Firstly weigh the ingredients by using analytical weighing balance according to SOP.
6.2  Solution I:
6.2.1        Take 50.0ml of beaker and add 5.0g of ammonium molybdate and dissolve it with 20.0ml of purified water by using magnetic stirrer.
6.3  Solution II:
6.3.1        Take a beaker of 500.0ml and add 150.0ml of ethanol (96%) in it.
6.3.2        And take 150.0ml of purified water mix it with ethanol (96%).
6.3.3        Add also cool 100.0ml of sulphuric acid with it.
6.3.4        Mix it by using magnetic stirrer.
6.4  Take a beaker of 100.0ml.
6.5  Add 20 volumes of solution I in beaker, and remaining 80 volumes of solution II in the same beaker, immediately before use.
