To
lay down the procedure of Ammonium
molybdate reagent R1 for Laboratory use.
2.0 SCOPE:
This
shall be applicable to the Quality Control Laboratory.

5.0 MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT:
5.1
Glassware (one 500.0ml beaker, one stirrer,
one 10.0ml pipette).
5.2
Analytical weighing balance.
5.3
Magnetic stirrer.
5.4
0.6g of disodium arsenate.
5.5
10ml of 0.6g/10ml of disodium arsenate
solution.
5.6
50.0ml ammonium molybdate solution.
5.7
90.0ml of dilute sulphuric acid.
5.8
Purified
water (q.s).
6.0 PROCEDURE:
6.1
Firstly weigh 0.6g of disodium arsenate
by using analytical weighing balance operate according to SOP.
6.2
Prepare 0.6g/10ml solution of disodium
arsenate solution separately in beaker.
6.3
Take 500.0ml of beaker and mix 10.0ml of
0.6g/10ml solution of disodium arsenate, 50.0ml of ammonium molybdate solution,
90.0ml of dilute sulphuric acid.
6.4
Mix it by using magnetic stirrer.
6.5
And dilute it to 200.0ml with purified
water.
6.6
Again mix it thoroughly by using
magnetic stirrer.
6.7
Ready for use.
