Pressure vessel and Filtration Assembly Cleaning SOP




1.0  OBJECTIVE:
To clearly lay down the procedure for cleaning of Pressure vessel and Filtration Assembly.
2.0  SCOPE:
This shall be applicable to the Pressure vessel and Filtration Assembly installed in Quality Control Laboratory.
3.0  RESPONSIBILITY:
3.1  Technical Assistant/ Helper.
3.2  Q.C Analyst.
4.0  ACCOUNTABILITY:
4.1  Manager-Quality Control.
5.0  MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT:
5.1  Pressure vessel and Filtration Assembly.
6.0  PROCEDURE:
6.1  Before starting the cleaning procedure, disassemble the pressure vessel and filtration assembly.
6.2  First clean the inner side and outer side of pressure assembly and filtration assembly with hot distilled water with the help of S.S. Jug.
6.3  Then put 4% max liquid detergent on the cleaned dry duster on one side and soak with the help of distilled water and clean inner side of pressure vessel by rubbing the 4% max solution moped duster.
6.4  Clean the inner side of filtration assembly with liquid max by using plastic brush.
6.5  Now wash the pressure vessel and filtration assembly with 10L to remove traces of liquid detergent.
6.6  Now rinse the pressure vessel and filtration assembly with the help of 10L distilled water.
6.7  When the silicon pipe, pressure vessel and filtration assembly connected in series, pass out about 15L hot distilled water from the pressure vessel through the silicon pipe and filtration assembly into S.S container before filtration of solution.
6.8  Affix the “CLEANED” label and fill the “Cleaning Equipment Log Book”.
6.9  Precautions:
6.9.1        Always disconnect nitrogen gas pipe before cleaning process.
6.9.2        Always use hot distilled water to remove traces of medicines and 4% max liquid detergent.
